Heather is AMAZING!!! My son got our black lab puppy (Charley) for Christmas at 8 weeks old. By the time she reached 4 months I was DONE! Charley was biting me, my son, and anyone else she came in contact with. Her play was always aggressive and she was eating everything in the house! The only thing she did well was potty training. While on a walk 2 weeks ago I fell and broke a bone in my foot and stress fracture in my leg, needing a boot. I called Heather and she came to our rescue, taking Charley for 1 week. Charley came home this morning and truly is a different dog. She is still her sweet self, but no biting! She is listening to commands and walking beautifully on a leash. As I write this, she has been in “place” for over an hour being a good, CALM puppy!! I highly recommend PAWSitively Calm for any dog owner, especially puppies, to set the clear expectations and manners early.
This past January, my greatest gift came after the holiday season.. my AussieDoodle, Ozzie! I love Ozzie with all of my heart, but I’d be lying if I said he didn’t come with flaws. Aesthetically, my little ball of fur is PERFECT, but behaviorally, he became increasingly challenging as the months passed. I suffered to find ways to cope with his constant hyperactivity and fear. Everything from going for a walk to simply putting the little guy in his crate became a source of stress for both of us.
Simply put, I was out of options. That’s when a friend referred me to Heather. When I dropped Oz off just over a week ago, I can’t say that I was extremely confident that his anxious demeanor and accompanying behavioral traits would change by the time I saw him again.
While I missed my precious fur baby, Heather’s constant updates and encouraging videos showing Ozzie’s incremental improvements put my mind at ease.
After picking up the little guy this morning, I’m a bit worried I may have picked up his well-behaved twin! All jokes aside, the results from Ozzie’s short stay with Heather are ASTOUNDING. He is still the same affectionate ball of fur I fell in love with 6 months ago, but those familiar tasks that used to bring us so much stress are now completed with ease. He’s graduated from fear and timidity to confidence and swagger. My guy is constantly obedient without losing any of his childlike energy.
I wholeheartedly recommend Heather and Pawsitively Calm to anyone who wishes to eliminate undue stress for both themselves and their pet. Thank you Heather!!
Heather did an absolutely amazing job working with my 6 month old GSD Tito! Would highly recommend her services to anyone. Thanks so much Heather!
Heather is amazing! She had our little girl for a week and she came back a new dog. She is now calm, well mannered, no more jumping or pulling on a leash. Game changer! I trusted Heather implicitly from day one with her craft as her passion for dogs is obvious. Highly recommend Pawsitively Calm! Thanks again, Heather! Skylar misses you .
Heather is extremely knowledgeable and takes what she does serious. She took our less than two year old English Bulldog (has been with us since 8 weeks old) who had no structure or training and totally transformed his behavior. I cannot say enough how Heather has been a blessing for our dog and our family. SHE WORKS WONDERS!!!!
My experience with sending my sweet pup to Heather has been nothing but POSITIVE! Heather is absolutely amazing and worked wonders with my pup, Finley! Prior to training with Heather, Finley was an extremely anxious and frantic dog. She would chew holes in furniture, walls, tables etc. She would not listen when called and she pulled so hard on walks that it was unmanageable and downright frustrating.
After JUST 2 weeks with Heather, Finley has undergone a 180 degree change. She is calm and carefree as well as a respectful rule follower. What used to be extremely difficult tasks (walking, listening, waiting) are now enjoyable and easy. It has changed both Finley's and my life as well as our relationship with one another drastically!
Almost 3 months later, Finley is still the same respectful, calm, happy dog that she was when I first picked her up! I love taking her with me, she is truly an everywhere dog now! I would recommend Heather to anyone who loves their dog and wants to have the most positive human and dog relationship!
Heather at PAWSitively Calm did an amazing job with Harper. She has had some training before, this is the first time it has worked. She now comes when you call her, she walks next to you without pulling on her leash, she knows when to leave something when you don’t want her to have it, she will not run out of the door - she sits and waits until you give her permission. She goes to her place bed when asked if you need some space to do house chores. Heather is amazing and truly gifted trainer.
Three weeks ago I called Heather because my dog was and little out of control. Oreo already had obedience training with another facility but was even more anxious, exhibiting a lot of bad behavior - jumping , biting , pulling on leash, among many other issues. Heather was so knowledgeable and very informative and recommended a 2 week board and train. Once I dropped Oreo off, the next day we saw huge changes in his behavior. Heather kept us updated every hour posting on Facebook, IG, and YouTube. Every day was a new accomplishment. Heather even exposed Oreo to a crowded environment to make sure that the he can be calm during high traffic situations. Bottom line the kindness and quality of training Heather provides is top notch. Today I picked Oreo back up, and everybody in my family are amazed . Great job Heather, very satisfied!
Heather took in our boy Brooks for the two week board & train. He was a jumper, counter surfer, could not sit still and completely un-walkable. We had to beg family members to watch him while we were on vacation due to these issues. We've had Brooks home now for about a week and the transformation is unbelievable. He can be taken in public, trusted off-leash, and obeys every command without hesitation. He still has his charming and loving personality but he has finally learned how to relax. Heather has made the impossible happen with ease. We missed Brooks during his training but with Heather's constant communication and social media posts it made us feel like we were there every step of the way. We will be using Heather for boarding and any future dog training that comes our way. Thank you so much Heather! Brooks misses you.
